Manuscript Formatting Guide
Adherence to these formatting guidelines is essential for maintaining consistency and quality. Submissions that do not comply with these standards may be returned for correction before entering the peer review process.
General Formatting Requirements
- File Format: Manuscripts must be submitted as a single Microsoft Word (.docx) or LaTeX (.tex) file. Supplementary materials should be provided separately.
- Font and Spacing: Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, and double-space the entire manuscript, including the abstract, main body, references, and captions.
- Margins and Page Numbers: Set 1-inch (2.54 cm) margins on all sides and include page numbers in the bottom-right corner.
- Language: All submissions must be in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English (either American or British spelling is acceptable, but be consistent).
Structure of the Manuscript
Organize your manuscript into the following sections in this order:
- Title Page: Include the full manuscript title, author names and affiliations, and the corresponding author's contact details (email, ORCID iD).
- Abstract: A structured summary of 150-250 words covering the study's objective, methods, key results, and conclusion.
- Keywords: Provide 4-6 keywords for indexing purposes.
- Introduction: Clearly state the research background, the problem being addressed, and the study's objectives.
- Methods: Provide a detailed description of the methodology, including experimental setup, data collection, and analytical techniques, to ensure reproducibility.
- Results: Present the findings logically, using figures and tables where appropriate. Avoid interpreting the results in this section.
- Discussion: Interpret the findings, discuss their implications, and compare them with existing literature. Address the study's limitations.
- Conclusion: Summarize the key findings and their contribution to the field. Suggest avenues for future research.
- Acknowledgments: Acknowledge any funding sources or individuals who contributed to the research but do not meet authorship criteria.
- References: List all cited sources in IEEE format.
- Appendices (if applicable): Include supplementary information that is too detailed for the main body.
Figures, Tables, and Equations
- Placement: Embed all figures and tables within the manuscript at their first point of citation.
- Captions: Number all figures and tables sequentially (Figure 1, Table 1, etc.) and provide a concise, descriptive caption for each.
- Resolution: Ensure all figures have a minimum resolution of 300 DPI (600 DPI for line art). Acceptable formats are TIFF, PNG, or EPS.
- Equations: Number all equations consecutively in parentheses on the right-hand margin.
